Scorecards

The following are 2018 candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives. Buildabiggerhouse has contacted as many as possible and asked each candidate:

The House of Representatives in 1911 limited the number of its seats to 435. The American population was then about 92 million. Our country has since grown to over 325 million people, but the number of our representatives in Congress has remained the same. The voice of the people has been cut in our national government to a third of what it once was. In addition, the limited number of congressional districts has produced districts of vastly different population sizes among states, breaking the rule of one person/one vote equality. Americans, the champions of democracy, are now the poorest represented people in their own government compared to other modern democracies.

Do you favor expanding the House to restore the level of democracy enjoyed by previous generations of Americans?

You can check your state below to see if your candidates have responded, and if so, what their responses were.  If your candidate has not responded, please contact him or her directly and ask them.
